Rotating-Images is an Art Gallery and a Teaching Studio with a Twist.

Photography’s history is full of interesting adaptations in approaches to creating images. Experienced image makers and newcomers to the art now use smart phones as cameras to capture images for sharing.

  • Do you need guidance navigating the menu and settings in your smart device camera?

  • Do you want to make more creative images?

  • We offer a unique learning environment that seeks to enrich one’s art experience in a casual, relaxing atmosphere in which to “ask the artists” about all things cameras.

  • Where are you on your artistic journey?

As a Fine Art Image Maker, Linda uses her photographic skills to tell stories that capture the ever-changing, beauty of coastal and nautical subjects.  "When a particular subject captures my attention, I stop, look at it from every angle, search for just the right light, “frame with my feet” and “click”!  Often people may say oh, that’s different, where was it? I murmur with a smile: “You walked right by it!”

Photography has been part of Linda's life from an early age. Her Dad had a darkroom when she was a child and thereby followed in his footsteps…or was it photosteps? During high school, Linda was fortunate to work for a prominent local photographer in her home town. There she learned how to file negatives, assemble wedding proof albums, and catch prints coming off the large drum. In the following years, her career turned to business and healthcare, as well as earning a Master's degree in Management.

During that time Linda continued to take pictures and decided to improve her photographic skills with numerous classes in the Philadelphia and New York area. As a result of those efforts she had an unexpected opportunity to shoot a wedding on her own but knew she needed guidance-quickly.  Gathering up courage, she walked into a photography studio seeking help and left having met her first mentor, the late Sidney Yoblick. In the months and years that followed Sid brought Linda on as an assistant at weddings and mitzvahs.

Eventually, Linda's artistic interests shifted to fine art, leading her to a second mentor, Alison Shaw of Martha’s Vineyard, where she cultivated her artistic talents.

Professionally, Linda has shown and continues to show her work in numerous art galleries, libraries and solo shows.

Linda's  work highlights her efforts in capturing photographic "snippets" of subjects that others may not observe. Initially her images were created using a DSLR camera. By reaching into her editing toolbox, she may enhance some of the images’ soft colors and emphasize their edged lines to create something unique.

During the past few years, Linda transitioned into the new world of iPhone photography. She now teaches the fundamentals of iPhone photography to children and adults at various schools and art galleries in Massachusetts.

Linda takes her passion to helping clients reach their photographic image making potential. Recently, she “paid it forward” serving as a photography mentor to Cape Cod HS students through the MassHire Cape and the Islands Workforce Board’s Art Works Program.

Linda provides private consultations and small group workshops in her studio or on location.

Rick has been part of the photographic arts since high school in the 1960s. He worked at a local camera shop as a teenager, had his own darkroom, and was on the high school yearbook and newspaper. That interest continued through to Ithaca College where he was in charge of newspaper and yearbook darkroom activities starting in his freshman year.. He then  graduated with a degree in Banking/Economics but never lost his passion for photography.

After graduation, Rick moved to Connecticut to work in the school photography industry. It paid the bills. He also became the official photographer for the Hartford Civic Center and the Hartford Whalers WHA/NHL hockey team. Rick was one of the first photographers in the USA to sport a 300mm f2.8 manual focus lens.

During the '80s Rick had mentorships with noted famous photographers, including portrait giant at the time Tibor Horvath from Toronto, then with master of commercial lighting Dean Collins, and with the creative genius of Robin Perry in Waterford, CT. Rick was his studio clean up guy.

In 1986 he became involved with the PGA and LPGA golf tours. He exclusively shot transparency film which was used by the tours and their corporate sponsors for commercial promotional purposes. To this day, Rick is still involved with the golf tours having covered more than 600 events over the years across the Planet.

In the mid 1990s the digital age burst on the scene. Rick was a beta tester for the first digital camera which was the Kodak 610x.

By the mid-2000s Rick became involved with a creative think tank in Princeton, NJ. The product, Artography at Home (ATH) was a program first featured on the Home Shopping Network that could take a photograph turn it into a painting suitable for framing. The only other similar program available was Corel Draw. In addition to test printing images, Rick had a part in writing the algorithms.

Early in his career Rick received a Clio award from the CT Advertising Association for a special HUD project back in 1988. His work since then has won numerous awards throughout Southeast Massachusetts and Cape Cod Art galleries and regional Libraries.

Today Rick still experiments with digital and mobile device applications, as well as the new emerging AI process and how it relates to the current image making industry.
